A week in the Alaouite household

On Tuesday June 25th, His Majesty King Mohammed VI granted audience to newly appointed ambassadors of the Kingdom of Morocco at Rabat Royal Palace where he handed them their appointment letters.

Afterwards, the new ambassadors were sworn in before the King.

Following that, the King received foreign outgoing ambassadors who came to take leave of the Sovereign at the end of their missions in the Kingdom.

On June 26th, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Hassan attended the graduation ceremony of the 19th group of the Advanced Defense Course and the 53rd group of the Staff Course.

On June 28th, following the terrorist attacks in Tunis, Tunisia, His Majesty released a message condemning the attack. On June 27th, two suicide bombs exploded in the Tunisian capital. The first suicide bombing targeted a police patrol vehicle in Charles de Gaulle street in central Tunis.

The second attacker blew himself up in the capital’s Al-Qarjani district.

In the message, he expressed his “firm condemnation of this cowardly criminal act.” He also reaffirmed his “full solidarity and continued support for this sister country in the fight against the scourge of abject terrorism.”

He also reiterated Morocco’s ongoing support for all efforts to preserve Tunisia’s security and stability.

The King also extended his “deep condolences and compassion” to President Caid Essebsi, and to the grieving families.

That same day, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince inaugurated the Tanger Med 2. The port is an extension project that will allow Morocco’s Tangier port to surpass some of the key international ports in terms of container capacity in the Mediterranean.

His Royal Highness was representing His Majesty during the inauguration ceremony.
