British High Commissioner visit the Ooni of Ife
Her Excellency Mrs. Catriona Laing CB, Britain's High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria paid a courtesy visit to His Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, The Arole Oodua & Ooni of Ife, on July 25th at Ile Oodua Palace, Ile Ife, Osun State Nigeria.
Accompanied by his consort Her Royal Highness Olori Naomi Ogunwusi(Yeyeluwa), The Arole Oodua who is Co-Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, while receiving Mrs. Laing who is the first female British High Commissioner in Nigeria, described the Nigeria-UK relationship as cordial, expressing his belief in the High Commissioner’s ability to uphold and and improve on it.
He also send his message on congratulations to the new British Prime Minister, Mr Boris Johnson on his emergence, urging him to not to renege on his promise to the world especially as regards to the Africa's interest.
His Majesty Oba Francis Adefarakanmi, Olowa of Igbara Oke who was visiting the Ooni of Ife was also in attendance
