Born as Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Nwaturuocha, to her late parents who were medical practitioners with a dad that was a medical doctor and a mother who was a nursing officers. She is the youngest of 4 siblings.

She is one of the original actress in the Nigerian movie industry Nollywood for the past 2 decades.  She has starred in over 100 movies and series. Over the years she has been nominated in various awards both nationally, continentally and world wide.
