Nigeria: A new king for Odo-oro kingdom in Ekiti State

A new king has emerge in the Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State. The community of Odo-oro kingdom leaped for joy as the throne has finally found his sitter who ascended it on October 23rd.

His Majesty Oba Ojo Babatunde Adebayo Jemilehin Aladesodedero 1 who is a lawyer by trade became the 13th Onise of Odo-Oro Ekiti, succeeded the late Oba Joseph Ibiloye Ogusakin Olowoselu 1, who died on August 20th 2018. He was born a prince from one of three traditional ruling families the Niniosukarun Ruling House of Odo-oro Ekiti.

The two other ruling families Elilabojuawakawa and Akeejobiokikun joined the Onise Coronation Central Working Committee in all traditional and cultural activities and steps pertaining to the selection of the new Onise which was later approve by the Ekiti State.

Following this His Majesty moved to the palace where he went through the traditional rites and installation while waiting to take his staff of office, other paraphernalia and instruments of authority which will be presented by the state government and other traditional institutions on his coronation on November 1st.

The new Onise is married to HRH Olori Alaba Jemilehin Aladesodedero
