Tooro Kingdom: Bark to the Roots Initiative launch with Queen Mother Best
On November 1st, Her Royal Highness Queen Mother Best Kemigisa launched the Bark to the Roots Initiative hosted at the Kampala Serena Hotel, Uganda.
The Queen Mother was invited to attend the exhibition organised by Bark to the Roots (B2TR) organisation where she saw and learned more about the organisation and how they are elevated communities especially that of women.
She also kicked off the campaign to plant 1 million Mutuba Trees
The Tooro Queen mother called for the promotion and preservation of the barkcloths as an important cultural heritage in the kingdom and across Africa. During her address, she called for more trees planting that are used to produce barkcloth to help reduce climate change.Yesterday, I launched the Bark to the Roots Initiative that will promote, preserve & conserve Barcloth an important Cultural Heritage.
