 HRH Olori Atwatse III of Warri was guest speaker at the launch of Human Capital Africa (HCA), an accountability and advocacy initiative spearheaded by Nigeria’s former Minister of Education, Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili, in Abuja, the nation’s capital.




The advocacy initiative was launched on of the October 26th 2021 during the 27th Nigerian Economic Summit (NES27) themed – “Securing our Future: The Fierce Urgency of Now”

The consort to His Majesty Ogiame Atwatse III stated that His Majesty and herself have made it one of their top goals to direct their influence and increased investment toward their most valuable resource—the young people of Warri Kingdom. It is their ambition to create a bright future for the kingdom's children, one in which they will have opportunities not just to survive but also to flourish. When they talk about constructing the future, many people automatically think of public workers, politicians, and benefactors.

She also revealed the aim of the Olu of Warri palace to leave an enduring educational legacy in Warri kingdom, just as she emphasized the importance of every kid receiving decent education regardless of class background

Her Royal Highness was born on December 29th and is the second wife of His Imperial Majesty Oba Ewuare II, Oba of Benin. Prior to being an Oloi or Queen was known as Obazuwa N'erie

A happy belated birthday to Her Royal Highness Princess Folashade Adeyemi of the Oyo Kingdom.

Her Royal Highness is the 3rd born and eldest daughter of His Imperial Majesty The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi with his first wife Her Royal Highness Ayaba Abibat Adeyemi. She was born on December 5th.

Her Royal Highness is known for promoting the Yoruba culture within and beyond the Nigerian borders. Through the Arewa House of Culture, Princess Folashade in her capacity as Cultural Consultant and Ambassador of the Yoruba race organises various events across Yoruba kingdoms and is constantly representing her royal father at various occasion

A happy birthday to Her Royal Highness Olori Hadiza Yakasai Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom.

Her Royal Highness was born on December 4th, and is the second wife of His Royal Majesty Saheed Elegushi Kusenla III of Ikateland. The couple got married following the Northern Nigerian traditional rites in Kano earlier this year.

In his post on Instagram, His Royal Majesty wrote "On this day My Wife was born, it has only been God all the way, Alhamdulillah. Today, I celebrate my wife's birthday, Olori Hadiza Elegushi.
Being happy around you is an effortless thing for me; it just comes naturally. I pray that you live long to continue to make me happy, and I in return, will be here to ensure the smile on your face never seizes. May your heart be filled with joy and may our love continue to grow stronger and stronger. I celebrate you today and I will celebrate you always. Happy birthday my My Queen."

A happy belated birthday to Her Royal Highness Olori Aishat Omowunmi Lawal of Ede Traditional Council in Nigeria.

Her Royal Highness celebrated her birthday on November 24th and is second wife to His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Adesola Laminisa 1, Timi of Ede Kingdom. Together they have a child; one year old daughter HRH Princess Maryam Adedoyin Lawal.

A happy 10th coronation anniversary to His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr.) Frederick EnitiOlorunda Akinruntan, Olugbo of Ugboland.

Oba Akinruntan Okoro Ajiga I ascended the throne of his forefathers and took the staff of office on November 9th 2009 as Natural Paramount Ruler and Olugbo of Ugboland, Ode-Ugbo, the ancestral home of Ilaje-Ugbo.

Ilaje-Ugbo is a community endowed with fishing, marine and port facility capacity with early incursion into Yoruba by the Europeans (Portuguese, Germans, Dutch and later British).

His Imperial Majesty marked the day with fellow invited royal fathers with a reception at the palace

Royal fathers were received by the Federal Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fasola at the residence of the great philanthropist, Chief Ade Ojo who unveiled and officially commissioned the 6 kilometer road constructed in Ilaramokin which he constructed on Saturday November 9th.

A happy 24th coronation anniversary to His Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Kolapo Sulu Gambari CFR, the 11th Emir of Ilorin, Chairman of Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers.

His Highness took his stool and staff of office on this day in 1995 and comes from a long line of Emir with his father Alhaji Zulkarnaini Muhammadu Gambari being the 9th Emir.

All roads lead to Aguleri for the 2019 edition of the World Eri Festival which was hosted by the present occupant of Eri throne, His Majesty Eze Chukwuemeka Eri, Ezeora 34th and Aka Ji Ofor Igbo.


The festival which began on November 8th and ended on the 10th brought together various communities in Igboland as well as from other tribes also had guests from around the world notable the United States and Israel.

Political figures from both the Anambra states and federal government also attended or were represented. The event also recorded the presence of HRM Igwe Alfred Achebe, AGBOGIDI Obi of Onitsha. HRM Oba Adedinin Adebanjo of Osoya Ife who represented His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II)  Ooni of Ife, HRM Igwe Dr Mike Idigo (Ezeudo Na Aguleri) Igwe of Aguleri and other Igwes both in Aguleri and her neighbouring communities.

A happy birthday to Her Royal Highness Olori Sekinat Aramide Elegushi of the Ikate Kingdom in Lagos State, Nigeria.

Her Royal Highness was born on November 10th 1986 to the famous Ipaye Bello family of Lagos Island and is the eldest daughter of Alhaji Morouf Bello and Alhaja Ramota Oshodi.


She did all her education in Lagos state, Nigeria and is an alumni of the University of Lagos where she graduated with a BSc. in Accounting. The Olori is a serial entrepreneur and owns various fashion boutiques, an interior designing agency and a family leisure Centre named in the state.

In 2003 she got married to His Royal Majesty Oba Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom with whom she has three children. She became Queen when her husband got crowned in April 27th 2010.



When she is not accompanying and supporting her husband in various activities, she supports various charities like women and children's causes, and is patron of philanthropic activities(arts).

A happy belated to Her Royal Highness Olori Badirat Olaitan Ajoke Adeyemi, Iya Ibeji of the Kingdom of Oyo.

Her Royal Highness who celebrated her 30th birthday on November 3rd at the Oyo palace is one of the youngest wife of His Imperial Majesty the Alaafin of Oyo, Alh. Dr. Lamidi Adeyemi III.

The couple are parents to three boys: TRH Prince Adejuwon Adeyemi and twins 1year old Princes Hammad Adeleye Adeyemi and Mubarak Adedamola Adeyemi.

She recently completed her national youth services and is patron to various charities in the kingdom. She is also the owner of various business in Oyo town

A new king has emerge in the Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State. The community of Odo-oro kingdom leaped for joy as the throne has finally found his sitter who ascended it on October 23rd.

His Majesty Oba Ojo Babatunde Adebayo Jemilehin Aladesodedero 1 who is a lawyer by trade became the 13th Onise of Odo-Oro Ekiti, succeeded the late Oba Joseph Ibiloye Ogusakin Olowoselu 1, who died on August 20th 2018. He was born a prince from one of three traditional ruling families the Niniosukarun Ruling House of Odo-oro Ekiti.

The two other ruling families Elilabojuawakawa and Akeejobiokikun joined the Onise Coronation Central Working Committee in all traditional and cultural activities and steps pertaining to the selection of the new Onise which was later approve by the Ekiti State.

Following this His Majesty moved to the palace where he went through the traditional rites and installation while waiting to take his staff of office, other paraphernalia and instruments of authority which will be presented by the state government and other traditional institutions on his coronation on November 1st.

The African Union HQ in Addis Ababa Ethiopia was host to the 4th African Union Specialized Technical Committee on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment discussions began on October 29th between young people and traditional leaders. This was hosted by United Nations Women Africa

This discussions included talks about child marriages, FGM, patriarchy, Gender Norms, positive Masculinity. On day 1 the traditional leaders who attended where HM Queen Sekhothali of Manala-Ndebele Kingdom, HM Paramount Chief Messi Koroma from Sierra Leone, HM Chief Madzimawe of Ngoni, Zambia, Chief Siansali of Matabeleland North, Zimbabwe.

During the discussions both groups were able to ask and explain various steps put in place to help the evolution of the youths and changes of certain analogies and thinking states in their various kingdoms and as well across the continent. The leaders also explained the measures put in place to adapt traditional and customary laws to fit the evolving and changing world around Gender Equality and parity.

A Happy birthday and enthronement anniversary to His Imperial Majesty Omo n'Oba n'Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Eheneden Erediauwa Ewuare II, Oba of Benin Kingdom.

His Imperial Majesty was born on October 20th to His Imperial Majesty Omo n'Oba n'Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Erediauwa I and was enthrone on October 20th 2016 in Benin city, Edo state, Nigeria.

Prior to his enthronement, he earned his A levels in the United Kingdom,  an Economics degree from the University of Wales, UK and a Master of Public Administration degree from Rutgers University Graduate School, New Jersey, USA.

He was also a public servants to the Federal government having worked as a High Commission to various countries.

Following his father's death in 2016, he was crowned on October 20th 2016. The Oba is married to Their Royal Highness Queen mother Iroghama (Obazuaye N'erie), Princess Iyayiota (Obazuwa N'erie) and Princess Ikpakpa (Ohe N'erie), Oloi Aisosa, and many others

According to a prerogative in the Nigerian Federal as well as states constitution, which gives Governors the power to create new Emirates  Districts, Villages and Wards as well as the appointment and disposition of Emirs and Chiefs based on recommendation of the kingmakers of the community, a new Emirate was created and Emir was appointed.

This thus leads to the creation of the Yamaltu Emirate in Dadinkowa, Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area and the appointment of Alhaji Abubakar Ali as the new Emir of Yamaltu.

The town which located in the Southwestern region Nigeria is also known as  “TWINS CAPITAL OF THE WORLD” town as almost every native living there is either a twin, has had twin or comes from a family of twins. Even their newly installed traditional monarch HM Oba Jimoh Olagunju Titiloye, the Olu of Igboora is a twin married to a twin and has sets of twins

The festival also welcomed their royal patron and father of twins himself His Imperial Majesty The Alaafin of Oyo and one of his youngest wife HRH Ayaba Anu Adeyemi(who was Royal Mother of the Day and is a mother of soon to be 1 year old twins).

When addressing everyone Oba Adeyemi III, Iku baba yeye(father of twins) said that the festival is a celebration of culture and recognition of Ibeji(twins in Yorubaland) as special children in Yorubaland as the birth of twins heralds peace, progress, prosperity and good luck to their parents and families. He also added that parents should always take good care of them.

A happy birthday to His Imperial Majesty Alayeluwa Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi Ojaja II, AROLE ODUDUWA and 51st Ooni of Ife, Nigeria.

His Imperial Majesty was born on October 17th 1974 to Prince Aderopo Ogunwusi and Princess Wuraola Ogunwusi of the Giesi Royal House, Agbedegbede Compound. He is the the fifth child in a family of seven with elder sisters TRH Princess Folashade Ogunwusi, Princess Adesola Ogunwusi, Princess Adebimpe Ogunwusi and brothers Prince Adetunji and Prince Adegboyega

Before taking the Ooni staff, He was a chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He worked with various national and multinational companies in Nigeria and around the world. He was also a real estate developer and businessman.

Following the death of the 50th Ooni, HIM Oba Okunade Sijuade, Olubuse II, The Ooni was chosen by the kingdom's kingsmen amongst the most eligible indigenes of the kingdom on October 26th 2015. He received his crown and staff on December 7th 2015.

In 2008, he got married legally to Adebukola Bombata who now resides in the United Kingdom. After taking his staff in 2015, he got married to Zaynab Otiti Obanor who became HRH Olori Wuraola in 2016. In 2017 The Ife Palace announced that the couple was separating and the Olori stripe of her titles becoming know Her Highness Queen Zaynab.

In October 2018, the palace announced that His Imperial Majesty pick Prophetess Morenike Naomi Oluwaseyi as a new wife and traditional wedding was held at the palace. Taking the title of Her Imperial Majesty Olori Silekunola Moronke Ogunwusi, Yeyeluwa is an evangelist and founder of En-Herald Ministries.


He is the father of one, a daughter HRH Princess Adeola Ogunwusi who recently graduated university in the United Kingdom with a master's degree in Urban Economic Development.

The Palace of the Obi of Onitsha, Onitsha Kingdom, Anambra State played host to the 2019 edition of Ofala Festival which began on October 4th and ended on October 14th.

His Majesty Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, Obi of Onitsha hosted thousands of the Kingdom's residents and visitors to not only a display the rich cultural heritage, but 10 days of pure glamourous display of rich entertainment for all.

A few days leading to the festival, the Igwe goes into seclusion where it said and assumed to have successfully negotiated the fortunes of the kingdom with the gods and forefathers. This is steeped into deep spirituality, the event is the highpoint of the Onitsha ceremonial cycle. The night before the event, he emergences and then take part in traditional rites to bless the events.

The ceremony held various events which included the first edition of the  21 km Onitsha City Marathon, organised by the Onitsha Business School, on October 5th. This was followed by the Oreze Arts VII, which was promoted and supported by Igwe Achebe’s Chimedie Museum Trust Foundation and the National Gallery of Art.

There was also the Ofala Youth Festival 7th edition hosted by Onitsha Ado Youth council which was held on Thursday, October 10th which brought about 2000 persons. The festival showcased the rich cultural heritage of the Kingdom.

There was also display of royal dances, tributes, parades and music running which took place over two days. Also known as The Ofala proper, which took place from October 11th and 12th.

The festival ended with a Royal Banquet, organised by one of Nigeria's mobile company and the festival's sponsor Globacom in honour of the Obi of Onitsha held at the Dolly Hills Hotel, Onitsha, on Monday October 14th.
